Took these pics Saturday. What made this rock "pop" like that, pressure?
In the clouds
See that rock cliff in the upper left, that where I am going. We camped on top of the cliff one year.
Still large patches of snow up there
Still have to mark the county line, even way up here. Hmmm maybe Linn county needs to take some territory from those Lane county bastards... No, I didn't move it.
Not sure what bird it was, it was not a grouse. It was very graceful and large. I think some kind of raptor.
Hurry up and take the picture, this thing is getting heavy.

80 foot water fall, could not get the whole thing in the pic
I take my monthly shower under the waterfall. It was like 85 degrees outside.
Different waterfall, took another shower.
For the record, I told Julie that we may get turned back by snow up here. She said it has been so warm there won't be any snow. I tell her about the one spot where the snow drifts up huge, still she says there will be no snow.
She says "SNOW?" Then starts to get scared about sliding off the edge of the mountain. We were at about 4400 FT in elevation.
Turned back by frozen snow, Julie says we will slide off the edge... It would have been easy, but she was freaked out. So I turned back. Like I said, it was like 85 degrees out. This snow was nothing. There is a spot just ahead that I knew would be much worse, the snow in that spot drifts up like 20 feet high. I have been turned back in that spot in late June! Then other years, there is no snow at all this time of year.
